Some Maine newspapers (in paper copy) are found in the Special Collections Department of the Fogler Library (in the Library Annex).  One week's advance notice is required before these newspapers can be made available for researchers and photocopying is generally not allowed (due to the fragile nature of most of these old newspapers).  In addition, many of the old Maine newspapers are available on microfilm in the Government Documents and Microform area of the Library; they can be viewed on the first floor of the library.
