George was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 9, 1853.  He was the son of James M. Miller, a sea captain from Belfast, and Anna Maria Goodale/Goodell.  He married Elizabeth 'Lizzie" Agnes Brown of Chelsea, Massachusetts. The marriage took place in Chelsea on August 5, 1874.  They were both 20 at the time.  At the time of their marriage George was staying in Boston with relatives.  He had worked for the railroad in Belfast at one time but was injured.

George and Elizabeth had six children: Fred Eugene Miller, Harry Josiah Miller, Gilbert Warren Miller, George Percy Miller, and two daughters who died of tuberculosis.   Elizabeth herself  died of tuberculosis at age 38.  George later married Elzora Drinkwater of Lincolnville.

Although George was born in Boston he spent most of his adult life in Belfast, ME.

Joshua Rivers was born in 1841 in St. George, Maine.  He married Susan Laughton Andrews.  Joshua died in Searsmont on May 9, 1917.  The photo was taken at the home of Fred Eugenr Miller, his son-in-law.

Susan Laughton Andrews was born in St. George, the daughter of George and Mary (Cook) Andrews.  She died in Searsmont, at the age of 70, on April 22, 1909

Fred was born January 18, 1875 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of George Warren Miller and Elizabeth Brown.  He died in Searsmont April 20, 1937.  The picture on the left was taken, in Belfast, when he was 20

She was born in Searsmont and died there at age 60 on February 22, 1934.  She and Fred were married for 37 years.  They had 4 children: Fred Royce Miller Sr. - married Marguerite Beverly; Vena Minnette Miller - married Maurice Cobb; Irva May Miller - married E. Colby Howard; Ruth Emaline Miller - married Olin Bonin
