PRATT and had children Marion, Ida May (m. Manson), Ella G(married George Waller), Roy E., Stella, and Amelia (m. TOMBERLIN) 10 January 1998 Beth Waller mbwaller@mega-com.com I am interested in finding information on my great great grandfather, Frederick Lewerenz & his wife Fredericka Voss Lewerenz, & their parents & families that came before them. Frederick was born Aug 3, 1822, in Germany (Prussia), died May 21, 1873. His wife Fredericka Voss Lewerenz was born Oct. 5, 1821, in Germany (Prussia) and died Aug. 18, 1876. They are buried in the Lake Ripley Cemetary in Litchfield, MN. Frederick & Fredericka Lewerenz, emmigrated from Prussia in approx 1862 or 1863, I'm not sure of the exact date. As far as I know, they lived in Dundee, Illinois until at least 1870. (They are listed in the Minnesota 1870 census, with their 3 children, Minnie, born approx 1852, (married H.F.Krueger), John, born approx 1855, & Charles (Charley), born Feb. 22, 1862. When they came to Minnesota, they lived in Ellsworth Township of Meeker County. Charles Lewerenz is my great grandfather. Charles Lewerenz married Fredericka (Rica) Smith on June 11, 1891. Fredericka is the daughter of Fred Smith & Dorthea (Doro or Dora) Brun Smith. Rica had 2 sisters, Mary, (married name Hauser), & Alvina (married name Mrs. John F. Mattsfield), & brothers: August, Charles, Robert, Albert, Henry & Otto. Rica was born in Dundee, Illinois May 28, 1865. Rica & her family came to Meeker County in 1870. I was able to find this information about her from her obituary in the Litchfield Paper dated Saturday, March 5, 1921. Rica, (Mrs. C.F.Lewerenz died March 3, 1921). (Charles F. Lewerenz obituary is in the Aug. 25, 1939, issue of the Litchfield paper. Charles and Rica are also buried in the Lake Ripley Cemetary. This is as far back as I have been able to trace these ancestors of mine. I couldn't get any records of the Smiths from the state of Illinois, they did not have records of Rica's birth. My next step is to try and find the name of a city or county where they resided in Prussia. I've been told that their church should have "joining membership" records. (Confirmation records for children should tell where they were baptised) Does the Ellsworth Lutheran Church, Ellsworth Township, Meeker County, still have these records? Is it somehow possible for me to get copies of these? I know Charles Lewerenz & Rica Smith were farmers in Ellsworth Township. After their marriage in 1891, they had 3 children: Robert F. Lewerenz, my grandfather, born March 19, 1892, another son, Walter, born 1894, and a daughter Alvina, (Mrs. Walt Goemer), born 1900. Charles had a 200 acre farm, known as Cedar Lawn Farms, started about 1916. I'm providing this information in hopes that it will help me find the starting point of my family, surname LEWERENZ, and where they originally emmigrated from. I know there are still family relatives living in Litchfield, & I would very much appreciate any information you have. I would like to keep tracing my ancestors as far back as I can. Irma Lommen - Salden, Limbricht, the Netherlands Mar 14, 1997 Hi, my name is Andrew Paul Stenhoff and I live in the Town of Flint which lies on the North Coast of Wales in Great Britain. The Stenhoff name is a very rare Family Surname which originates in South West Sweden. One branch of the family resides in the USA and all are desendant from Peter Hokenson Stenhoff who emigrated from Sweden to the USA around 1860. The Stenhoff family in the USA today has several families spread out across the USA, some in Washington State, some in Missouri and some still reside in Minnesota. All Stenhoff's in the USA today seem to be decendant of Peter H Stenhoff's sixth child Edward Franklin Stenhoff who was born in November 1871 in Litchfield, Meeker County, Minnesota. Peter H Stenhoff and his wife Helen Stenhoff (Byland) are buried in Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield. Peter H Stenhoff died in 1911 and Helen Stenhoff (Byland) died in November 1896. Stenhoff and his wife being born in Sweden but do not give a Town or area and this is one piece of information I am trying to track down. Also the identity of the other children of Peter H Stenhoff. Smith, Box 65, Sharon, VT 05065 e-mail to nina.swaim@valley.net Douglas V. Smith Jan 31, 1997 Hello My name Mary Frances Van Nurden the daughter of Kathryn Teresa Van Nurden-Theis. She lived on East 21st street Litchfield MN in 1950. According to the information I have, My biological father is John O. Larson. He was married to Frances C. Kruger and they lived at 329 East 21st. These two addresses are believed to be next door to each other. I was born on March 3rd 1950 in the Litchfield Hospital. My birth certificate only states my mother's name. John O. Larson passed away on Sept. 5, 1954. Is there any way to verify whether John O. Larson is my father or not? Is there a way to find out his blood type? This would help alot. I know that he was born in Gibson City, IL. How do I contact them about it? Is there any other source that I could reseach. I would appreciate any help that you could offer me in this matter. Please contact me at 605 361 3083 collect. Thank you for your time and assistance. Mary Jan 1, 1997 Seeking information and researching; George Washington Stevens b. Meeker Co., MN date unknown, m.
