Milligan
Springs Cemetery is located near the Choctaw
and Montgomery Co boundaries. To reach the cemetery, travel on Hwy 82. From either the east or the west, the road leading to the cemetery is about half way between Kilmichael and Stewart. You will turn on Upper Milligan Springs Road (though we saw no road sign). There is a trucking company located on the corner of Upper Milligan Springs Road and Hwy 82. As you turn onto the road, you can see the end of the pavement, remainder of road is gravel. Travel on Upper Milligan Springs Rd approx. 1 mile and the road will make a slight curve. Where the road makes the curve, Dacus Rd. will intersect Old Milligan Springs Rd on the left. Continuing on Milligan Springs Rd. for approx. 1/3 mile, you will see the cemetery on your right and the church will be straight ahead of you. Cemetery is a well kept cemetery and still in use. |
