Andrew GREEN farmed in the Oriska area of Barnes County between
1880-1885. He is listed on the 1885 territorial census along with his
family: wife Donna and daughters Charlotte, Anna and Florence.
Charlotte married Henry SPRATLEY, a dentist in Valley City. The
GREENs came from Mecosta Co. MI and Henry SPRATLEY came from Isle of
Wight Co. VA. The SPRATLEYs had moved to St. Cloud, MN by 1897 and
the GREENs settled in Kittitas Co.,Washington in 1886. Any
information on these families would be appreciated.

My mother, Eunice Ruth (HEGG) Baker was born in Nome, North
Dakota on December 23, 1927. She is the daughater of Rev Gustav and
Maybelle Louise HEGG. The HEGG family moved to Nome in in 1925. They
left Nome in 1937 following the death of Gustav. They relocated in
St. Paul, Minnesota. Other children of Rev Gustav and Maybelle were:

I am researching my biological
paternal grandfather whose name was William Williams. He and his wife
or girlfriend had a child in Valley City in about 1898, and gave him
up for adoption. Nothing further is known about William Williams and
his wife or girlfriend Cora Bowers. The child they gave up for
adoption became my father. His name was changed to Walter John Gauche
and he was raised in Oriska ND. That is another story. I am
interested in tracing William Williams. Was he a member of the
Chatauqua group just entertaining and passing through? Are there any
Williams in Barnes County that could shed light on this? Thank you

My great-grandfather, Andrew Collins, died in Barnes County, ND on Nov. 2, 1880 and was buried on the family homestead in Barnes County. His wife, Martha, then continued to live on the homestead which passed to their son, Gus Collins upon her death. My grandmother, Charlotte Christina Collins was born in 1870 near Red Wing, Minnesota and lived in Barnes County on the family homestead until her marriage to James William McLeod. James and Christina lived in the Sheyenne Valley, ND for several years where he apparently was employed as a grain seperator until they moved to homestead in Alberta, Canada. I am searching for any information available for Andrew Collins and his wife, Martha (whose maiden name I do not know), any of their children, Charlotte Christina, Anne, Erick, Gideon and Gustav. I am also interested in James William McLeod and marriage records to Charlotte Christina Collins as well as information for any of their children, Margaret, Robert, Charlotte, Mary, Wallace, Angeline and Isabelle. I believe all of these children were born in Valley City. My mother is Isabelle.

in Nome, ND in 1911 and her Uncle Carl Myhre was born in Valley City,
