MYHRE,Anne homesteaded in Barnes, County in 1898. She died in 1901 and I believe her grave is in the Myhre Family plot in Woodbine Cemetery, Valley City, Barnes,North Dakota possibly with other family members. Ellef Myhre a son and others. I need information about Anne Myhre who is my Great-Grandmother born in Norway and possibly came to US as a widow. Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated.

My great grandparents, Thorkel and Bertha Thorkelson lived in Barnes County in the early 1800's. I have been doing research on this family and I found out that they had a two daughters named Thelma E. The first one died on November 23, 1902 at the age of five years and I have found her obituary from the newspaper. It states that she was buried at the churchyard of the Lutheran church in Norman township. My question.. is there any church records or cemetery stones there where I could find out her exact birthdate from? Ow who could I get in touch with that maybe could help me? I would appreciate any help I could get. They lived in Fingal, ND at this time. Thank you very much.

Maiden name BORGERSON,Bertha. She married Peter Gregerson, son of Gregor ANDERSON (they changed their last name to Gregerson)around 1880. Any information you might have on the Borgerson family would be very much appreciated. I have not been able to find anything on the family at all. Axel Gregerson of Valley City was one of her sons. In the 1920 Barnes Co. Census, I found the family of Jefferson CARICO, age 42, bn VA, and his wife Alice M. CARICO, age 36, bn MN. They are listed with their children, Arthur J., Henry H., ?Cloid G.?, Eva E. and Ruth S. Does anyone have knowledge of this family.

I am lookinf for the parents of my great grandfather. His name is William Henry Wegner. He was born in Fingal N.D. in 1892. He married Laure Tougas in 1911. My grandfather was born in cooperstown N.D. in 1913. His name was Vincent Arthur Wegner. My ggrandfather was a manager for JC Penney which took him to Beaver Dam Wi. where he lived until his death in 1985. Any info would be appreciated.

John A. Kline moved to North Dakota from Michigan with his sons and their families in the 1880's. His sons names were William and Frank. John died about 1889 in Barnes Co. or possibly Stutsman Co. I would like to find his grave. His wife, Clarissa Dickinson Kline, left ND at his death and I do not know where she died or was buried. I would appreciate any information about this family.

I am looking for information about my gggrandfather, Christian Oleson and his family.I know that he died in Barnes County, ND but I don't the date or anything. He was married to Ambjor and they were both born in Norway. Children were: Bertha Olson, b.Oct15,1860, Ella Olson and Nels Olson. I think they came to ND from Wisconsin in the early 1880's. I am looking for proof of marriage of Jacob Peter RASMUSSEN and Marie HANSEN. Accoring to my records they were married in Eckelson in April 1885. They are shown in the 1885 ND census in District 33. I am also looking of proof of birth of their children, in particular Anna Marie, born May 20, 1893 in Eckelson. The entire family (total of 8 children) moved to MT in about 1905. Searching for any information on the Peter Bong family. Peter was born 1886 in Norway, the son of Andrew (aka Anders Andreassen) and Ellen Borgen Bong. Andrew emigrated from Tjotta, Norway to the States in 1887 along with his wife and 3 children (Anne, Arnolda and Peter). I know of a sister to Peter, Kathryn, who was born in ND. She married ? Goddard and later moved to CA. She died in 1990. According to the SSDI, Peter died in Feb. 1969 and his last known location was Valley City, Barnes Co., North Dakota. The Bong family name is listed on page 51 of the cemetery index that is listed on the Barnes Co. GenWeb page. It is possible that some of the Bong family members moved to the Bellingham, WA area. William Reid & Isabella Turnbull
I am looking for the descendents of William Reid and his wife Isabella Turnbull. Isabella, my great Aunt, was the daughter of James Turnbull and Isabella Vassie. She lived in village of Bellwood, Wellington County, Ontario Canada. Her brother was my great grandfather. She married William Reid and they moved to Valley City North Dakota in 1892.
