Old Dickey County Queries
(Queries are no longer posted here.)

I'm researching the OFSTEDAL family. Andrew was a pioneer farmer who moved to Aberdeen South Dakota prior to statehood there, and then moved across the line to Ellendale in Dickey County about twenty years later. He and his wife Maria had many children, some of whom remained in Dickey County. I am working on this and other OFSTEDAL lines and would happily exchange information.

I am looking for any information on H. H. Campbell, Alice Campbell, Fred Campbell b: NJ as appearing in the 1885 territorial census from Dickey Co. N. Dakota.  I beleive he is Hiram Henry Campbell B: abt 2/23/1838 in NJ.  I beleive Alice Campbell is Hiram's second wife Alice Allen m: Mar 1, 1874. Fred Campbell was actually Fred Brown adopted by Hiram Campbell and referred to as Fred Campbell, until mention in the will of Hiram Campbell as Fred Brown, N. Dakota. While Hiram returned to NJ by 1891 I beleive Alice Campbell may have died in Dickey Co and Fred lived there his whole life. I do not know what town or area of the County they resided. Any information would be of value. Neil Campbell Neil Campbell
