DODSON - I am trying to find details of my Dodsons who
rented land near Edgely from roughly 1905 to 1916. Other places mentioned
were Jud and Dickey so they were very possibly somewhere in between.
Harry Dodson, and son Phineas Dodson (shown as Joe in
the 1910 census) were there, as well as Clark and Gertrude Jones, probably
all on rented land. Charles Dodson, son of Harry, died there about
1909-1912. Rosanne

Hanson, who lived in Kennison Township. He came over from Denmark and I
know of only one sister who also came over, Christine Hanson. I am sure

to North Dakota. Nels married Susan Hildenbrand whose family lived in McIntosh

I am searching for any information on Camill Hugo Martin Gottlieb
Kramer who was born Nov. 20,
1858 in Mannheim, Baden, Germany. He homesteaded in LaMoure
County, Dickey area in 1882. I
know he was a LaMoure County commissioner, a director of the State
German Loyalty League,
president of the LaMoure County School Officers Association, and
member of the Masonic Lodge.
Curt Kramer was one of his sons and was my grandfather. Curt
was also a LaMoure County
Commissioner. Emma, Curt's wife, and my grandmother lived
in Dickey all of her life and was a
resident of the LaMoure Nursing Home until her death just a few
years ago.
Specifically I am interested in finding links to Germany. The
mother or father's names of
Camill?
Camill 1st wife died in childbirth. His second wife was a mail
order bride from Germany.
Her name was Mary Fleishmann. Any information on her would
also be helpful. We know nothing
about either one of them before their time in America. Mother and/or
Father's names would be a
great help.
I know Camill also headed a troop of players in the county called
Kramer's Komic Komedians
and traveled to communities and put on plays.
He was a public speaker and loyal American. He served in the
Prussian army before coming
to America. Any information found would be helpful.
Does anyone have any idea why he had so many names? Are these
links to relatives?
