Ida Catherine Fretland, her friends called her Ede, was a member of the first class to graduate from Enderlin High School in 1906.
She attended the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks. She taught in the Enderlin Schools for several years until her health did not permit her to continue.
She had a brush with death when the area was hit by a Flu epidemic. She later worked as a clerk in Harpers Department Store in Enderlin.
She was active in the Eastern Star and the Library Club. She moved to San Francisco where she married Iner H. Larson, brother of Harold Larson, on 29 July 1935.
After their marriage they lived at 1778 Mission Street, San Francisco. Later they moved to Old County Road, Belmont, California. Iner served overseas in WW I.
He was a painter for the Southern Pacific Railroad. They had no children. Ede and Iner are buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, Section Q, grave number 285. Submitted by Jim Johnson Family Group Sheet Fretland Pedigree Chart |
