ROBERT C. JACOBSON

Robert was born on 23 June 1917 to Paul J. and Pansy F. Clark. [In record search, can easily be confused with U. S. Army Robert C. Jacobson son of John born in Montana.] Robert's siblings include Paul, Joseph H., Thomas L. (1919), Peter R., Elliott B., Mary O. (1924), and Elaine (1933).
In 1920 and 1930 Robert was living with his parents at Fort Yates and in 1940 living with his brother Paul in Bismarck working for the government.
As a 2nd Lieutenant he was serving with the 461st Bombardment Air Squadron of the U. S. Army Air Force when on 11 July 1943 he was killed in a crash, as the copilot, of a B-24E Liberator, #42-7180, 35 miles north-northwest of the Casper Army Airfield in Wyoming. [Click on picture for larger view].
