Sioux County Pioneer, Fort Yates 27 November 1914 "Wm. Killscrow living southeast of town a short distance, died Thursday night of tuberculosis and other complications, aged about 50 years [Note: several Indian Census reports have his birth about 1870/71 making his age about 43/44]. He was about town the day of his death. The remains were taken to Ft. Yates Friday for burial. He left a wife and several children. A daughter died [Julia b. about 1895, d. 3 October 1914] at Fort Yates during the late fair of the same disease." William was born about 1870/71 but the location is unknown. He lived for many years with his family on Standing Rock. His family included wife Julia b. about 1876; children Charlotte, Julia (b. abt 1895, d. 3 October 1914), Louisa b. abt 1900, Phillip b. abt 1902, Annie (Fannie) b. abt 1903, George b. abt 1907, Mary b. abt 1910, Theodora b. abt 1912, and Paul Hugh b. abt 1914. |
