PFC WILLIAM RED HORN

William was born 10 January 1934 [Note: Some official records have the birth year as 1933] in Sioux County, North Dakota and was living in Fort Yates when he entered the U. S. Army. He was killed on 9 December 1951 in Korea.
Military Information from the Korean War Veterans Honor Roll: "War: Korean War, Title: Private First Class, U.S. Army, Rank: Private First Class, Service: U.S. Army, Service ID: 17300807, Notes: Private First Class Red Horn was a member of the 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on December 9, 1951. Private First Class Red Horn was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal."
