WILLIAM H. YORK
 William was born on 5 April 1830 in Illinois and died 5 March 1903.
In the North Dakota 1885 Census he is a farmer in Traill County. He is in Hillsboro in the 1890 Veterans Federal Census. In 1900 he is living in Hillsboro.
William enlisted on 8 February 1862 as a 1st Lieutenant from Wisconsin. He was commissioned an officer in Company E, Wisconsin 20th infantry Regiment on 2 August 1862. He was promoted to Full Quarter Master on 14 October 1862. He mustered out on 14 July 1865 at Galveston, Texas.
He is buried at Pine Glen Cemetery, Prescott, Pierce County, Wisconsin. Burial, Tombstone Picture.
