James and Thomas Staska were brothers from Bohemia. They came to America between 1876-1881 and they were living in Traill County in 1900.. James married Josephine Kotraba 8/14/1891 in Traill County. They had at least Bessie, Anna, and Ray. Anna was born 4/13/1893 in Cummings, Traill County, North Dakota and died in Seattle, Washington 12/14/1988. She married Emil M. Blasky 4/7/1920 in Mahnomen, Minnesota. Anna and Frances are first cousins. Contributed by Marilyn McGuire |
