This file contains an index to names, dates, and occurrences and will reference 
either the Cherry Valley Gazette or the First Presbyterian Church at Cherry Valley.

The church records were transcribed by the New York Genealogical & Biographical 
Society, and edited by Royden Woodward Vosburgh, published NYC, May 1920. 

The Cherry Valley Gazette records were abstracted by DAR representatives and set in 
typescript c.1942.

This file is meant to serve as an index to these records, and any information in
 this file should be verified by consulting the original transcription or abstract,
 which can be accessed on microfilm at various libraries.

In this file, standard abbreviations are used for death (d.), marriage (m.) and 
relationships (d/o = daughter of, s/o = son of, ch/o = child(ren) of, w/o = wife of, 
etc). The subject of the original reference was included in abbreviated form to 
provide you with a guide for accessing the information you need and to help 
eliminate unnecessary searches through the original un-indexed and un-alphabetized 
works.

The file is sorted by last name then by first name. Names are very often spelled 
differently from page to page, so be sure to look for all possibilities.
