New division of Roads wards
We the Undersigned Commifsioners of the town of Milford do agree that it is prudent
to divide the 26th ward and make two wards of the Same by dividing at the South
part of John Whaleys house the North ward to be known by the No 51 and also to
divide the 18 ward at the North line of George Schermerhorn farm on the west part
to be known by the No of 55 furthermore that part of the 7th ward to be annexed to
the 6th ward which formerly belong to it that is to say to the East corner of __

Milford held at the house of Peter Collier on Tuesday the second day of March 1824

Voted that Said town raise for the support of the Poor $325.25
Voted that the bye laws of Said town Stand as they did the last year
Voted that the Next Annual Town Meeting be held at the house of Peter Collier in
the Said Town.

This day the books and papers of the overseers of the poor of the town of Milford
is transferred from the hands of Simeon Walling and Richard Swartwant late
overseers into the hands of William Richardson and Samuel Bixby the present
Overseers and find due to the Said Simeon Walling from the Said town the sum of
twenty one dollars and twenty six cents March the 8th 1824

We have this day transferred the books and papers of the overseers of the Poor of
the town of Milford from the hands of Simeon Walling and Richard Swartwant late
overseers of Said town into the hands of Samuel Bixby and William Richardson the
present overseers of Said town and find due from the Said town to Richard Swartwant
55 cents one Note against Harvey Bifsell of $5.00 dated the 16th day of November
1822 also another against Joseph Westcott of $5.00 dated February 24th 1824 which
is due to the Said town of Milford March the 8th 1824

Survey of A Road laying on Crumhorn Mountain Begins at a Stake on the line between
the towns of Milford and Meriland South 85 degrees West 85 links from a pine tree
Marked with the letter A and runs from the North 6 degrees West 34 Chains
Thence North 14 degrees East 15 Chains
Thence North 20 degrees East 20 Chains
Thence North 31 degrees East 12 Chains
Thence North 39 degrees East 6 Chains
Thence North 20 degrees East 16 Chains
Thence North 52 degrees East 34 Chains
Untill it intersects the road leading from the Susquehannah River acrost the
Crumhorn Mountain Isaiah Wilcox in Maryland Containing a distance of one Mile and a
half and 68 Rods

Alteration in a Road say begins at the east side of a poll Bridge that crofses a
Small run of Water a few chains west from the dwelling house of Amariah Enos and

Intersects the Road leading from James Cyphers in Milford to the Town of Lawrence
Containing a distance of eighty Rods
