At the annual Town Meeting of the Inhabitants of the Town of Otsego held at the house
of Major William Lewis, in the village of Cooperstown on the 7th day of March 1843.

It was Resolved, that the town choose four Constables.
Resolved,
That the town choose three Assessors
Resolved,
That the height of fences be 4 1/2 feet
Resolved,
That the Collector be allowed 3 pr cent for collecting.
Revolved,
That Cattle, Sheep, Hogs, and Horses shall not be permitted to run at large at any
time under the penalty of twenty five cents for each and every offence.
Resolved,
That Rams shall not be permitted to run at large from the first of August to the
twenty fifth day of November, under the penalty of five Dollars
Resolved,
That the School Commissioners be allowed one dollar per day
Resolved,
That School Inspectors shall visit each School in town once in Summer and twice
in Winter, and that they shall be allowed fifty cents for each teacher inspected, provided
that when more than two persons are inspected in one day, that then the Inspectors be
allowed one dollar & twenty five cents pr day, if more than two are inspected, and that
they report to the next annual Town Meeting.
