HARR, David was age 30-40 in 1830 Otsego County (Decatur) census. He had one
son age 5 to 10 and 3 daughters. Believe he had immigrated to America from
Germany in 1823 when oldest son, Lawrence was born. Lore is that Lawrence
HAAR was born at sea. What happened to David HAAR. Not in 1840 census index
in NY. Did he die and wife remarry? Is he buried in a churchyard there? Was
there a German settlement in Decatur? Any information on HAAR families will

Looking for information on SAMUEL THOMAS, born in Wales 12 August 1743. Fought
in Revolutionary War, died at Cooperstown, 15 October 1812. Married Ann
VonHesse 25 December 1784. She also died 1812. They had five sons, Ansel
(died 1865), Hosea, Melza (Melzy), Samuel, and Zenas. Zenas was born in
Cooperstown, 17 May 1800. Need ANY and all information on Samuel, Ann and
Zenas, or any of the others. An Uncle says to check with the Methodist church

I am attempting to find census information on PETER MARTIN who is listed
in the 1850 Otsego Census Index, resided in Milford tn., page 119 of the
Otsego Census. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for information on Levi Peet (born about 1793-95) and his son
Cornelius (about 1822). They moved to Farmersville, Cattaraugas NY. These I
believe are my relatives. Levi married Eunice Carpenter. Cornelius married
Mary Boggs.
The first settlement was made in 1817 in Farmersville, Cattaraugus County by
Peter and Cornelius Ten Broeck. The first religious services was held in the
barn of Levi Peet. Levi Peet (born 1973-75) and Peleg Robbins were also early
settlers from Otsego County.
They were in Otsego County evidently prior to 1817. Levi was married to
Eunice Carpenter (born 1799) who's father was Frederick Carpenter.

Electa(b.1815), son George. Also Grace BUTLER(b.1811)and Francis

Daniel H.. Daniel married Blanche GRAY, her parents- Mahlon ABERS, and
Louana BONHAM. Am doing a project for school, trying to trace any
rumored Iroquis ancestory. Any help is very appreciated.

I am looking for information on the following surnames: ROBINSON, PARKER,
FITCH, PALMER AND WRIGHT. John Palmer married & Cora (or Ann) Wright and they
immigrated to USA in early 1800's. Their daughter Elizabeth married Melville
Robinson who had son George who married Anna Mae Parker. Anna's parents were
Ellen Parker & Channing Fitch. Channing Fitch's parents were James Reed Fitch
and Lydia Rockwell.
I need data on when the Wrights immigrated and the parents names for Melville
(it may be Jared -Son of Ziba Robinson- I can't tie these names together)
Also, I need data on Anna Mae Parker's parents. I have birth & death dates for
the above, but would like to search further back.

Delilah Harrington and lived in Worcester about 1870. They had a son
Harry D. who later removed to Jefferson and married a Nettie Elizabeth
DEWEY. Any information on the WESTFALL or HARRINGTON families related

Does anyone know of a John W. Terry who lived in Otego about 1830? He
died in l840 qne is buried in a private cemetery on a farm on the
Odstewa. He was married to Abigail Jenson and had a son James who
lived in Otego until he died in 1889. I would like to know who John's
parents were and where he might have been before moving to Otego and any
other information about the family.

I am looking for information about my ancestor, Elisha BABCOCK, b. 1813 Otsego
Co., d. 1872 Cattaragus Co. He married Vernera RUDD also born in Otsego Co.
in 1816, d. 1901 Cattaragus Vernera's parents were Joseph RUDD III and
Vernera SMITH. Elisha and Vernera had three children: Albert b. 1843,
Rosaltha b. 1845 and Sarah b. 1849. Sarah was my gggrandmother. All three
children were born in Willet, Cortland County. Elisha, Vernera and the
children moved to Cattaragus Co. in 1850. Who were Elisha's parents?? And
where did his family live before they settled in Otsego County? Also looking
for info on Vernera SMITH's family. Any information would be appreciated!

b. 1811. Problem #1 Just to complicate matters, in the same time period
and location is a Fite SHUTTS. He may be a brother to Simon SHUTTS. He
could be the father of these other children. Problem #2 In a nearby
county there is another Simon & Elizabeth Shutts of about the same age.

I am seeking information of Henry Richard MOORE, sometimes spelled MORE. Henry Richard Moore was born on December 2, 1798 at Springfield, Otsego County, New York. In 1818 he married Sarah WILSEY who was born at Stark, Herkiemer County, New york. Henry Richard MOORE left New York in the 1830's and received land patents in Milford Township, Oakland County, Michigan. Henry Moore died July 10, 1842 in Milford Township, Oakland County, Michigan. My question is: does anybody know who the family of Henry MOORE is? Who were his brothers and sisters? Who were his parents? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I live now in WA state. Have much about Revolutionary Soldier Ezekiel
CHAPMAN, his son Zenas who moved to Cooperstown in 1799, and the rest of
the family, but I am trying to find more about Zenas' son JABEZ who lived
with daughter Ann NORTHRUP, wife of Philip, in Hartwick. Jabez had wife
Olive (1850 Census shows Jabez 53, Innkeeper, with Olive, 50, b RI, and
daughter Ann Eliza, 24. There was an article about Jabez in the 1895
Freeman's Journal which said he was then 99, living in Girard, Erie
County PA with Ann. Jabez also had a son,Charles, who was in business
with Robert Davis in Cooperstown in 1855.

I am searching for information on John or James WELLS and his wife Persis EARLE. They had seven children. My ggggrandfather was their fifth child, James Fones WELLS, b. abt 1815. About 1830, they moved to Norwalk, Huron County, Ohio. I would like any information on this family. I do not know where in if they were from Otsego or not. I am trying to find out if there were any QUAKER groups in Otsego Co. 1790 -1820. I am seeking information on Joseph MEDBERY/MEDBURY, b. abt. 1768, Smithfield, RI, d. September 7, 1844 Hanover, Chautauqua Co., NY. When he moved from Rhode Island, he went first to Norwich (1800), then New Berlin, New Lisbon, Pittsfield and finally Ville Nova, New York
Both Joseph and his brother Nathan supposedly were Quakers, but I have not
been able to find listings for them.
Joseph and ___ Harris' son Benjamin and his wife Lydia George moved to Chautauqua Co. abt 1830 & then to Mercer County, PA abt 1845-1850.

John Houghtaling and according to the death certificate of his daughter,
Sarah Jane b. 1843 in Broome County, he was born in Otsego County. I
have no other information on him other than he and his wife Amelia
Barrows Houghtaling lived in Broome County after they were married.
