I am searching both JONES and BENNETT families living in
Middlefield/Springfield, Otsego County, NY Levi JONES was born 1780-1790 MA
and perhaps the father of Robinson JONES. He married an Elizabeth "Betsey"
Bennett b: NY 1780-1790 and they had the following children: Bethany ,
William , Martha A. b:1813, Alonzo b. 1815, Aurelia b Feb. 1820, Eunice b.Feb
22, 1822 , Alfred b: abt 1827. I would think that these children above were
all christened in the local church. Does anyone have access to records to
look these names up for me? Were there a lot of churches in
Middlefield/Springfield? This family moved to Salem, Michigan late 1820's.
All the children married there. Perhaps brothers and sisters of Levi JONES
and Elizabeth BENNETT remained in Middlefield though.

KENNEDY, BUTLER
I would like to get as much information as possible on the William Kennedy who with John Butler and others on the 29th of December 1769 acquired 47,000 acres of land in now the towns of Butternuts, Burlington and Pittsfield ( The Patent was divided in sundry tracts, called Hillington, Gratsburgh, or Jew's tract, Wharton Creek tract and Wharton's manor ) and who, with others, acquired on March 31, 1770 13,000 acres of land in now the town of Worcester. I believe he is my ancestor who later in 1778 (possibly going away from the Indian attacks) became on Sept. 25, 1778 a tenant of Sir John Johnson in Kingsborough Patent in a place called New Philadelphia or Philadelphia Bush, north east of Johnstown, in Montgomery Co.. He was married to Mary Butler and their intent to marry was published in Boston, Suffolk, Mass. on Dec. 8, 1762.
