LOBDELL/COX
Seeking information on a PETER LOBDELL who according to his daughter's death
certificate was born in Cherry Valley, Otsego Co, NY. His daughter was born
in 1827. So assume his birth would have been in late 1700s or early 1800s. He married
a SARAH COX and I'm interested in learning anything about her family as well.
Mary Jane LOBDELL, their daughter born in 1827, was born in Wyoming county
so by that date they would have left Otsego County. Can ANYONE help me with
this? I'd like ANY information on ANY LOBDELL OR COX FAMILY in this time

LOCKWOOD
I am looking for anyone who may have known or have gone to school with Dean
Lockwood. He is the son of James Wilson Lockwood and Ethel Mae Lockwood. He
would have been born between 1924 and 1932. Also looking for Janice Lockwood
who is married now. She would have been born between 1935 and 1943. They lived
in Oneonta but were in foster homes in Otsego County. Janice's parents were
also James Wilson Lockwood and Ethel Mae Lockwood. Thanks in advance!

Searching for info on Lewis Ackley supposedly born in
Otsego Co. in l808-09 . Can't find Parents? Siblings?? Could they be Philander Ackley & Obediah Ackley? Lewis married Mariah Grace -born Pa. or Md. and moved to Ohio , Licking Co. l830-31 and then to Noble Co. Their oldest son was Samuel Ackley. Thanks for any info. Looking for info on family of Gordon Woodard (b 1917 Oneonta - d 1939),
child of Alton (b abt 1893 NY - d ???) and Florence A. ??? (b 1890 NY -
d 1953). Gordon had at least one brother, Earl (b abt 1914 NY), and is
believed to had a sister (name unknown). Gordon was married to Angeline

Researching my SOUTHERN family ancestors in Otsego County.
Milton Earle SOUTHERN (F-I-L) b 1/19/1909 m Helen Vita
JEWELL10/12/1927.
Found Milton in 1920 census for Morris Village living with parents,
Earl (age 33) and Clara (age 36) and siblings, Emma/Erma (age 12),
Alice (age 9), and Robert (age 7).
Found Milton SOUTHERN's father, Earl (b 2/1887) in 1900 census for
Morristown living with parents, William E. (b 5/1847) and Jane FURBUSH
SOUTHERN (b 1/1855) and siblings, Edward (b 1/1876), William (b
11/1879), Howard (b 10/1882), and Mary E (b 12/1893).
Also found family in 1880, living in Morris Town and Milford Township,
however in the interest of brevity, I'll discontinue my list.
Couldn't find William and Jane in the 1910 census.
As my information is virtually all from census records, I would
appreciate any further information (or details) on the family --
Middle Names, exact DOB, spouses and DOM, etc.

Loking for any info. regarding Eliphalet and Lucretia Preston of
Westford. I have info. from the book Descendants of Roger Preston of
Ipswich and Salem Villages, by Charles Henry Preston. Their children
were William, Harriet, Henry (who took over the farm)Elizabeth m. Levi
Chase, leonard,Sally m. Isaac Bishop,
Isaac Fitch, Clorinda m. Squire Brown. I am particularly interested in
William. I believe this is the same William (Wife;Lucretia)that appears
in Genesee Co., Batavia, N.Y. at appropriate time to have my great great
grandpa Elliot More Preston.

SMITH. According to one researcher, she was born in Oneonta, Otsego, NY on Feb
25, 1845 or 1846. Her parents were Solomon Blakesly SMITH and Lucia Hyde
HUBBARD. They are in the 1850 census of Gilboa, Schoharie, NY. Other
children were: Edward H. born 1843, Mary born 1848, and Lucia born 1849.

David Betts was born 1804 Amsterdam, Montgomery Co. Parentage unknown. He
died 1877 in Choctaw Nation, Oklahoma. David appears in Unadilla, Otsego
Co. in 1840 and later that year is in the Nation. Samuel Betts is residing
near David in 1840. Daniel Betts is residing in Laurens, Otsego Co.in 1820.
I need more information on these men. They have kin in Montgomery and
Fulton Co. N.Y.
