Sandy Goodspeed is willing to do lookups specifically for the Riverside Cemetery in
Oneonta. If you contact Sandy keep your lookup limited to Riverside Cemetery, and please

Sandy Goodspeed I have transcribed and compiled the records of
Bookhout Funeral Home in Oneonta ranging from 1917-2005. The records start in 1917 as Kark Funeral Home in Bainbridge,
Chenango Co. The Kark Funeral Home ended business in Jan. 1919, and in May of
1919, the business opened in Oneonta under the direction of I Jay
Bookhout on 13 Dietz St. They suffered two fires (most records
were preserved); one in Dec. 1939 and at the beginning of 1942 at
which time the business was moved to its present location at 277
Main St. In July 1947, it was sold to John Woodward but retains
the Bookhout name up to the present time. Copies of obituaries are attached to records starting in Jan.
1936 to present day. I only copied vital info from these. Until
the last couple of years, records were handwritten and sometimes
the writing was not always legible. Most all records listed cemetery burial. Please include name(s) and dates as well as pertinent info you
have such as parents, spouse or maiden name or anything that
might help. I have also transcribed the records and read the stones in
Glenwood, Oneonta Plains and Riverside Cemeteries in Oneonta
which would have information regarding any of these Bookhout
burials.
Sandy Goodspeedis willing to do lookups specifically for the Oneonta Plains Cemetery
in Oneonta. If you contact Sandy keep your lookup limited to Oneonta Plains Cemetery,
and please identify the cemetery name in the email.
Sandy Goodspeedis willing to do lookups specifically for the 1855, 1865, 1875 and 1892
Oneonta Census. 1855 census includes name, relationship, age, birthplace and years
resided in Oneonta. 1865 census includes name, age, birthplace, of how many children
the parent, number of times married, if married now, widowed or single. 1875 census
includes name, relationship, age. 1892 census name, age & country of birth. All except 1892 show families but 1892 is a running list of names and no indication of
where families start & stop. **WARNING: I did the best I could to read names but sometimes the writing and visibility
of the film was bad; especially the 1892 census writing was terrible to read, and the
writing for certain letters was very hard to distinguish but at least maybe something
will be of help to someone. **Please specify census in subject line of email to Sandy.
