Owing
to a change in orders, the men named to go to Camp Syracuse, N. Y. Aug.
2nd, will be sent to Columbus Barracks, Columbus, Ohio, sometime in the
week of August 7th. The following men qualified for limited service
only and will be sent to Camp Syracuse, August. 2nd:

DRAFT MEN STARTED FOR CAMP TAYLOR
Twenty-seven Men Took the Train at Jefferson Monday Morning
With
eight old soldiers of the Civil war leading, 27 draft men marched from
the court house to the depot on Monday morning. One man on the list,
Charles Fuller, of Kinsman, failed to report in time, but appeared
later and was sent to Ashtabula to catch the train.
The
boys go to Camp Taylor in Kentucky. They left in charge of Frank J.
Scoville, of Geneva, who had served in the United States navy for 12
years.
Two
changes were made in the list published recently in the Gazette. Roscoe
J. Young was given deferred classification. Lawrence Welton, of
Ashtabula, took the place of Michael Marrapodi.
