My name is Mary Ann Hetrick; I am your Temporary Marion County Coordinator. I am the person who is responsible for providing you with the tools you will need to search for your roots in Marion County.
I hope to be able to add more resources to the pages of Marion County soon, so check back often. I don't live in Marion County, I can't do lookups, but I will add what I have as time permits.

History
Marion County was formed March 1, 1824, from Delaware County, and named in honor of a General Francis. Marion, of South Carolina; it was temporarily attached to Delaware county for judicial purposes. [1]
It comprises fifteen townships, of a total of about four hundred square miles. The Scioto is the only river in the county, which, of course, is comparatively small in this region. [2]
