My mother's maiden name is Wefler and she is the only child of Clayton Ray Wefler who is listed as Ray Wefler on your page (http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohstark/familyinfo/jane1.txt). My mothers name is Marjory Ann Wefler ( I have to check with her if she had an e on Ann or not). Clayton Ray married Pauline Hood and they lived outside of Cleveland most of their lives. I am not sure if you are adding to the page but I can give you my info. The one caveat is that both my brother and I were adopted, so although I feel as part of the family, I am not blood related. Nonetheless, Marjory Ann Wefler married Thomas L. Richardson (he died in 2003). Kenneth Charles Richardson (b 1966) and David Thomas Richardson (b 1964) were their adopted sons. Another thing that might be of interest to you is that there is one Wefler in Massillon still alive. He is 85. He is Warren Wefler. He is the son of Howard Wefler. Verna Wefler, his brother, past away in the last few years I believe. I am going to pass on the existing page to Warren, my second cousin, and see what he can fill in. He also told me that the reason why the family came to Ohio is that their house burned down in Switzerland and they used the insurance money to come here. Another thing that makes Warren interesting is that he has bought up three of the Wefler farms over the years, Chris, John, and one other. One from Chris, he says was his great great grandfathers brothers house (which is still standing and was obviously beautiful in its earlier days) which is number 4 on your list, and his great great grandfather, number 2. On your list the names are Johannes and Christian, but Warren calls them John and Chris. John's house burned down unfortunately. We have a picture of Chris's homestead house. I also noted in my mind that these farms are both 160 acres. Warren mentioned them as homestead houses and if memory serves me correctly, 160 acres is what the homestead act provided for farmers of that time. I am new to this but if I can be of further assistance or information, please let me know. Warren mentioned there are maybe 40 additional family members in the area, but I have only met Warren at this point. I am currently in Massillon visiting until Saturday. I had never met Warren and wanted to do so before he past away. My Regards, Ken Richardson
