Samuel Tefft Jr To Thomas RUMRIELL

Be it hereby knoweth that I Samuel TEFFT Junr of Richmond in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations yeoman for the Consideration of Eighteen pounds in Lawful Money Bills of the State aforesaid which I have received do Grant Bargain Sell Transfer unto Thomas RUMRIELL Esq Keeper of the Grand Committees office for the State aforesaid a Certain Tract of Land Scituate in the Twon of Richmond in the County of Washington Containing about thirty acres and Bound Easterly partly upon Land of Thomas ROGERS and partly upon Land of Joseph TEFFT Northerly upon a Highway Extending Eighty Rods Extent upon the Grantor so far as to make said thirty acres or however otherwise the same may be Reputed to be Bounded with all the Buildings and appurtenances to the same belonging to Have and to hold unto the said Thomas RUMRIELL Esqr and his successor or successors in said office forever in trust to and for the sole use and Behoof of all the Citizens of said State forever and I the said Samuel TEFFT Junr do Covenant to and with the said Thoams RUMRIELL Esqr in his said Capacity for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators that I am Lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid in fee Simple free of all Incumbrances In Testimony whereof I here unto set my hand and Seal the Twenty first Day of June AD 1786
The Consideration of the above Deed is such that [if] the said Samuel TEFFT Junr of Richmond his Heirs Executors Administrators or assigns Shall pay or Cause to be paid unto the said Thomas RUMRIELL & Joseph CLARKE Esq General Treasurer or their successors in said offices the Interest and Principal of the sum of Eighteen pounds Lawful money in Bill before mentioned or in Silver or Gold Equivalent according the Tennor and ___ Effect of fourteen Bonds Entered into by the said Samuel TEFFT Junr to the said Thos & Joseph Esqr in their Capacities aforesaid and Baring Even date herewith then the aforegoing Deed Shall be void otherwise the same shall remain in full force
