To all people to whom these presents shall come I William POTTER of Richmond in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island and Providence plantations yeoman Sendeth Greeting Know ye that for and in Consideration of one hundred and fifty dollars to me in hand allready paid by Jonathan POTTER of Richmond in the County and State aforesaid yeoman the receipt Whereof I do here by acknowledge and my Self there with fully Satistied Contented and Paid Have given granted Sold aliened Enfeoffed Conveyed and Confirmed unto him the Said Jonathan POTTER his heirs and assigns forever one Certain part or parcel of Land Situate Lying and being in Richmond Containing by Estimation fifteen acres be the Same More or Less and Bounded as followeth viz Beginning Bounded Easterly by a Highway Southerly partly by Land of Thomas LILLIBRIDGE and partly by Land of George WEBB Westerly by Land of Elisha BABCOCK Northerly by Land of John VALLET    To Have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises With all and Singular the priviledges and appurtenances to the Same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the Said Jonathan POTTER his heirs and Assigns forever to his and their use benefit and behoof forever and that the Said Jonathan POTTER his heirs Executors and Administrators Shall and may at all times by force and Virtue of these presents Peaceably and Quietly occupy posses and Enjoy the Same free and Clear of all Incumbrances    And I the Grantor do for my Self my heirs Executors and Administrators covenant and agree to and with the Said Grantee his heirs and assigns forever that at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents I am Seized and Possess (sic) of the above premises and appurtenances in my own Right ___ good perfect Inheritance in fee Simple and that I have in my Self good Right full Power and Lawfull authority to Sell and Dispose of the same manner and form forever and that the Same is Clear of all Incumbrances of what name or nature forever and that I Will Warrant Secure and Defend the Same against the Lawfull Claims and demands of all and every person Whereever    In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this eighth Day of January Anno Domini 1796 and in the Twentieth year of the Independence of the United States of America

Know all Men by these Presents that I Jonathan POTTER of Richmond in the County of Washington, in the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations Yeoman for and in consideration of the Sum of nine hundred Dollars to me in hand before the Insealing and Delivery hereof, Well and Truly paid by George JAMES of Richmond aforesaid Yeoman the Receipt of Which I hereby acknowledge and my self herewith fully satisfyed content and paid? and of Which the said George is hereby acquitted, have given, granted, Bargained and aliened Enfeoffed, Conveyed and Confirmed and by these Present do freely fully and absolutely give grant Bargain sell Alien Enfeoff Convey and Confirm unto him the said George JAMES his heirs and assigns one Certain Tract or Lot of Land Lying in Richmond aforesaid, Bounded as follows Easterly on Beaver River Southerly by Land of John VILLET [VALLET] Westerly by Land of Elisha BABCOCK of Elisabeth Extending Northerly the North and South Land Being Parallel so as to contain just forty acres Being bounded Northerly by Land given by the Last will of William POTTER Late of Said Richmond Deceased to Daniel POTTER & Robert POTTER with a Dwelling House Grist Mill & other Buildings there on standing With the appurtenances also one undivided Half of two ___ Lots of Land Lying in Richmond aforesaid one of Which Contains by Estimation nineteen acres be the same more or Less and is Bounded as followeth Northerly Partly by Land of Elisha BABCOCK aforesaid Partly by Land of John VALLET and Partly by Land of George JAMES Easterly on Beaver River Southerly By the afore mentioned forty acre Lot Westerly by Land of the Said Elisha BABCOCK with the appurtenances, the other of the two Last mentioned Lots Contains eleven acres be the same more or Less Bounded Northerly by Land of John VALLET Easterly on Beaver River, Southerly by Land of Thomas LILLIBRIDGE, Westerly by a Highway with the appurtenances in Which two Last mentioned Lots of Land ___ Elisabeth POTTER Widow of the Said William POTTER Deceased hath an Estate for the Term of her Natural Life also one other Lot of Land Lying in Richmond aforesaid containing by Estimation fifteen acres be the Same more or Less Bounded Northerly by Land of John VALLET Easterly by a Highway Southerly Partly by Land of Thomas LILLIBRIDGE and Partly by Land of Joseph WEBB Westerly by Land of Elisha BABCOCK With the appurtenances to him the Said George JAMES his Heirs & Assigns his and their ___ propper (sic) use Benefit and behoof forever and the aforesaid Lots or Parcels of Land are free from any Incumbrances Saving & excepting the aforesaid Elisabeth POTTER Life Estate in the Two undivided Lots ___ I the said Jonathan POTTER for myself my Heirs Executors & Administrators do Covenant Demise & grant to and with the Said George JAMES his Heirs & Assigns that before and at the Sealing & Delivery of these Present I am the true sole and Lawfull owner of the Preceding granted Premises Saving & Excepting the aforesaid Life Estate in the two undivided Lots and have in my Self good Right full Power and Lawfull Authority to grant Sell and Convey the Same the Manner aforesaid and the aforesaid granted Premises with the appurtenances to him the Said George JAMES his Heirs and assigns saving & Excepting the aforesaid Life Estate I the Said Jonathan POTTER for my Self my Heirs Executors & Administrators against the Lawfull Claims and Demands of any Person or Persons Will by these Presents for ever Warrant Secure and Defend And Patience POTTER Wife of the Said Jonathan for the Consideration aforesaid Doth acquit yield up and Surrender all her Right of Dower & Power of thirds of in and unto the Preceding Granted Premises unto the Said George JAMES his Heirs and assigns forever,   In Witness Whereof the Said Jonathan & Patience have hereto Set their Hands and affixed their Seals the Seventh Day of December in the 26th year of Independence in the year of our Lord one thousand eight Hundred & one the Word __gs being interlined before Signing & Sealing

To all people to whom these Present shall come Greeting Know ye that I Daniel POTTER of Richmond in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantation yeoman for the Consideration of four hundred and thirty five Silver Dollars to me in hand before the Ensealing hereof well and truly paid by George WEBB of said Richmond yeoman the Receipt Whereof I do here by acknowledge my Self therein fully Satisfied Contented and paid and thereof and of Every part and Parcel thereof exonerate acquit and discharge the said George WEBB his heirs and Executors and Administrators forever by these presents    Have given granted bargained and sold unto the said George WEBB his Heirs and Assigns forever one Certain Tract of land Situate in said Richmond Containing forty acres Bounded Southerly by a Highway Westerly by John PHILLIPS' land Northerly partly by land of John PHILLIPS partly by land of Elisha BABCOCK and partly by land of William POTTER Easterly by the said William POTTER's land __to Exstend East so far as a parallel Line with the west line will make just forty acres    To have and to hold the said granted and bargained Premises unto him the said George WEBB his heirs and assigns to his and their proper use benefit and behoof forever and I the said Daniel POTTER for me my heirs Executors and administrators Do Covenant to and with the said George WEBB his heirs and assigns forever that a___d until the ensealing hereof I am the Sole and Lawful Owner of the said granted Premises and that I am Lawfully Seized thereof in fee Simple and that I have in my Self good Right full Power and Lawful authority To sell and dispose of the same in manner and form aforesaid and that the said George WEBB shall and may from time to time and times forever hereafter by force and virtue of these presents Have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the same free and Clear freely and Clearly acquitted and discharged of and from all manner of Incumbrances of What name or nature forever that might in any measure or degree obstruct this present Deed    And that I Will Warrant and defend the same against the Lawful Claims of all persons Whatsoever    And Sarah POTTER wife of the said Daniel POTTER for the Consideration aforesaid of her own free will doth yield and surrender up all her [Right] of Dower and Power of thirds of an unto the said granted premises unto him the said George WEBB his heirs and assigns forever    In Witness whereof We have her unto set our hands and seals the fifteeth Day of February AD 1791

To all people to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that I William POTTER of Richmond in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island yeoman for and in Consideration of the Sum of Seventy pounds Lawful silver money to me in hand paid by Thomas LILLIBRIDGE of the Town and County and State above said yeoman the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and my self therewith fully Satisfied Contented thereof and of very part and parcel thereof do Exonerate acquit and discharge the said Thomas LILLIBRIDGE his heirs Executors and Administrators forever by these presents Have given Granted bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed Conveyed and Confirmed and by these present do freely fully and absolutely give grant bargain Sell alien Enfeoffe convey and Confirm unto him the said Thomas LILLIBRIDGE his heirs and assigns forever a certain Track of land situate lying and being in the Town of Richmond in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island Containing by estimation Thirty one Acres be the same more or less and is buted (sic) and bounded as followeth Begining at Ebenezer HALL southwest Corner and bounded Southerly on the Highway Westerly on George WEBB untill it Comes to said WEBBs Northeast Corner Then Easterly as the old line Runs to Beaver River Near opposite to the the northwest Corner of George WEBBs homestead farm then Down Stream to the middle of said Beaver River to Ebenezer HALLs land then Westerly by said HALLs land to his North east Corner at the Highway    To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises with all the appurtaining to him the said Thomas LILLIBRIDGE his heirs and Assigns forever to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever and I the said William POTTER for me my Heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant promise and grant to and with the said Thomas LILLIBRIDGE his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealing hereof I am in my self Lawfully seized and possessed of the same in mine own proper Right and a good perfect and absolute Estate of inheritance in fee Simple and have in my self good Right full power and Lawful authority to Grant bargain sell convey and Confirm said Granted and Bargained premises in manner as above said and that the said Thomas LILLIBRIDGE his heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time and at all times forever hereafter by force and virtue of these presents Lawfully peaceably And Quietly Have hold use occupy possess and Enjoy the said Demised and bargained premises with all the appurtenances free and Clear freely and Clearly acquited (sic) Exonerated and Discharged of and from all and all manner of former or other gifts grants Bargains sales Leases Mortgages Will[s] Intails Jointures Dowries Judgments Execution or any incumbrance whatsoever    Furthermore I the said William POTTER for my self my Heirs Executors and Administrators do Covenant promise and grant to and the said Thomas LILLIBRIDGE his heirs and assigns forever hereafter to Warrant secure and Defend the before granted premises unto him the said Thomas LILLIBRIDGE and his heirs against the Lawful Claims or demands of any person or persons Whatsoever    And for the Consideration before Written Elisabeth POTTER wife to the said William POTTER doth by these presents freely and willingly yield and Surrender up all her Right of Dower and Power of thirds of in and unto the above demised premises unto him the said Thomas LILLIBRIDGE his heirs and Assign forever    In Witness whereof We have hereunto set our hands and Seals this first day of April And in the fifteen Year of American Independence AD 1791

Daniel POTTER to Thomas RUMRIELL

Be It hereby Known that I Daniel POTTER of Richmond in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island are Providence Plantations yeoman for the Consideration of Eighteen pounds in Lawful Money Bills of the State aforesaid which I Have Recd Do Grant Bargain Sell and Transfer unto Thomas RUMRIELL Esqr Keeper of the Grand Committee officer for the State of Aforesaid a Certain Tract of Land Scituate in the Town of Richmond in the County of Washington Containing Twenty Acres And Bounded Southerly a Highway Westerly on Land of John PHILLIPS Northerly partly on Land of John PHILLIPS and partly on Land of Elisha BABCOCK Easterly on the Grantor parrellel (sic) Line with the west Line To Extend upon the Grantor so ar as To Make the aforesaid Twenty Acres or however otherwise the same may be reputed To Be bounded With all the Buildings and appurtenances to the same belonging To have and to hold unto the said Thomas RUMRIELL and his Successor or Successors in said office forever in trust to and for the sole use and behoof all the Citizens of said State forever and I the said Daniel POTTER do Covenant To and with the said Thomas RUMRIELL Esqr in his said Capacity for my self my heirs Executors and Administrators that I am well seized of the premises aforesaid in fee Simple free from all Incumbrances     In Testimony Whereof I hereunto set my hand and Seal the Twenty first Day of June AD 1786
The Condition of the above Deed is such that if the said Daniel POTTER of said Richmond his heirs Executors Administrators or assigns shall pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thomas RUMRIELL and Joseph CLARKE General Treasurer or there (sic) successors in said offices the Interest and Principal of the sum of Eighteen Pounds Lawful money in Bills afrementioned or in Silver or Gold Equivalent according to the Effect of fourteen Bonds Entered into by the said Daniel POTTER to the said Thos & Joseph Esqr with their Capacities aforesaid and Baring Even? date herewith then the foregoing Deed shall be void Otherwise the same shall remain full force

David POTTER to Elijah HOXSIE

Know all Men by these Presents (sic) that I David POTTER of Petersburgh in the County of Rensselaer and State of New York yeoman for the Consideration of the sum of Six Hundred and Twenty Dollars to me in Hand Well and Truly Paid by Elijah HOXSIE of Richmond in the County of Washington and State of Rhode Island &c yeoman the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged that I am there with full Satisfyed Contented and Paid Have Given Granted Bargained Sold Conveyed and Confirmed unto the Said Elijah HOXSIE his Heirs and Assigns forever a Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Lying and being in Said Richmond With a Dwelling House and the Buildings thereon Standing Containing by Estimation Eighty five Acres more or Less Bounded Easterly by the Highway Southerly by Gideon HOXSIE Land Westerly by the Highway and Northerly by Land [of] Silas POTTER & Phillip POTTER it being all the Land Given to me the Said David POTTER by my honored father David POTTER Late of Said Richmond Deceased in and by his Last Will and Testament    To have and to hold Said granted Premises With all the Privileges and Appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appurtaining to him the said Elijah HOXSIE his Heirs and assigns forever and I the Said David POTTER for my Self my Heirs Executors and Administrators Do Covenant and Engage to and With the said Elijah HOXSIE his Heirs and Assigns forever that I am the Sole and Lawfull owner of the Said Granted Premises that I am Lawfully Seized and Possessed of the Same in fee Simple that have in my Self good Right and Lawfull authority to Sell and Dispose of the same in manner as aforesaid that the Elijah HOXSIE his Heirs and assigns Shall and may at all Times forever hereafter have hold use occupy possess and Enjoy the Same free and clear freely and clearly Exonerated acquitted and Discharged of and from all and all manner of Incumbrances of What name or nature soever that might in any Measure or Degree obstruct or make Void this Present Deed    And that I Will Warrant Secure and Defend the Said Elijah HOXSIE his Heirs and Assigns forever in Quiet and Peaceable Possession of the Said granted Land and Premises against the Lawfull Claim or Demands of all and Every Person or Persons Whomsoever    And Hannah POTTER Wife of the Said David for the Consideration aforesaid Doth of her own free Will and accord yield acquit and Surrender up all her Right of Dower and Power of thirds of in and to said Granted Premises to him the said Elijah HOXSIE his Heirs and assigns forever    In Witness Whereof we here unto Set our hands and Seals this Twenty third Day of March AD 1805
