in the 51st year of his age
blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from Beneforth:  Rev. Chap. 14, V. 13

relict of Mr. John Clemmons
died May 23d 1842
in the 90th year of her age
Thy worth was known to us on earth
in soothing us in pain;
thy life in deeds of kindness lost,
but shall be found again.
Sacred to the memory of

Mrs. Phebe Stratton
wife of Mr. John Stratton
who died March 29, 1822
in the 36 year of her age
blessed be the dead...

There were also two unreadable fieldstones, one broken stone bearing the Stratton surname, and 2 more stones leaning against the tree.
