In the name of God Amen. I Robert Lamb of the State and District
aforesaid being of a sound and disposing mind and memory, but calling to mind the uncertainty of life, And being desirous to dispose of such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with, Do make and ordain this my last will in manner following, i.e., I desire that after my death, a certain portion of my property be sold, such as can best be spaired and out of the proceeds my just debts and funeral expences be paid, my executor hereinafter named to attend to this as he may think best (i.e. which of the property can best be spaired, And if any be left after paying the debts and funeral expences the same with the ballance of personal property and real estate, and money, or Notes should I leave any. I desire my wife Francis Lamb to have during her natural life And after her death I desire that all the property of whatever it may consist to be sold on a credit or for cash as my executor may think best and after the funeral expences are paid I desire a reasonable compensation to be given to my daughter Lucy Huckaby for her attention to me and her mother in our age and infirmity, the amount to be determined or fixed on by my executor.
The balance whatever the amount may be, I desire that it be equally divided between my children Benjamin Lamb, Thomas Lamb, Lucy Huckaby and Sarah Lawson. After my son Joseph Lamb has one dollar and my daughter Mary Huff one dollar, the heirs of Jesse Lamb one dollar, the heirs of William Lamb one dollar and the heirs of Elizabeth Darnel one dollar.
And in the last place, I do constitute appoint my son Thomas Lamb, Executor of this my last will and testament by me made wheretoo I set my hand and affix my seal this November 5th the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three.

Personally appeared W. M. Ray who being duly Sworn on the Holy Evangelist And Almighty God doth make oath and that he saw Robert Lamb sign seal, publish, pronounce and declare this same to be his last will & testament, that the said Robert Lamb was then of sound disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of his ________ knowledge and belief and that the said _________ together with Spencer Gibbs & Jesse Ray did sign their names as witnesses at the request of the testator and in his presents (sic) and the presences of each other.
