Notes on Isaac and Robert Langston
"Returning home after his discharge (Civil War), he (Robt.) and his Father,
Isaac despaired of the political corruption that followed in the aftermath of
the defeat of the Southern states. He and his father moved their families to
the west central part of Texas, settling in Hico, Hamilton County. Robert
later moved his family to Bosque County, Texas where he operated a gin. The
convenient way across the river soon became known as Langston's Crossing and
it remains as such to this date."
