Fort Worth Star-Telegram: Mrs. Cleo Adkison, 51, of 804 Perkins
died at 6:10am Wednesday in a hospital after a long illness. She had been a
resident here 25 years. Mrs. Adkison was the wife of Roy L. Adkison, a mail
carrier. She was a member of Sagamore Hill Baptist Church. Besides her
husband, survivors are a sister, Mrs, Iona Brooks of Fort Worth; two sons, Ray
and Lewis Adkison, both of Fort Worth; two daughters, Mrs. Fay Culver of Fort
Worth Mrs. Maudie Gray of Sanderson; a brother, Roy Murphey of Coleman; a
half-brother, Autrey Murphey of Washington, D.C.; four half-sisters, Mrs. Jim
Mitchell, Mrs. Bud Honey and Mrs. Earl Shanks, all of Big Spring, and Mrs.
Charlie Williams of Denver City; step-mother, Mrs. E. R. Murphey of Big Spring.
Rev Fred Swank will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sagamore Hill
Baptist Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
