R.L. Adkison Jr., 19, who's mother, Mrs. R. L. Adkison, 804
Perkins Street, was notified Thursday that he was killed in action. The Navy
Department communication did not divulge the location of the action. Young
Adkison, who was born at Hico, was a former student at Polytechnic High School
and was at one time a Star-Telegram carrier-salesman. He enlisted in the Navy 8
months ago.
