Scotty Frank Bell


Services for Scotty Bell, 59, of Clifton, who died at his home Monday, 19 Mar. 1990, were held at 2 pm on March 21 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Cleon Flanagan officiating.  Burial was in Clifton Memorial Park.  Scotty wa sborn 16 Nov. 1930 in Ballinger, son of Raymond Leamon & Laura Edna Hubbard Bell.  He went to school in Ballinger, & also married there to Georgia Mae Hite (18 Mar. 1954).  He had one child.  Scotty came to Clifton in 1969 from Big Spring where he also owned & operated a grocery store.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was on the board.  He was also a member of the Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, & Clifton Cemetery Association.  He was in the US Air Force.  Hobbies included football, fishing, & his grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by 4 brothers & 2 sisters.  Survivors:  his wife, Georgia, of Clifton; a daughter & son-in-law, Teresa & Robert E. Crawford of clifton; 3 grandsons: Zachary, Justin, & Brandon Crawford, all of Clifton; 2 sisters: Mrs. Bill (Bobbie) Goetz of Ballinger, & Mrs. Bill (Patsy) Neily of Fresno, CA; 2 brothers: Jerry Bell of Monte Vista, CO, & Roland Bell of Odesssa.  Pallbearers:  Richard E. Smith, H.T. Nichols, Bud Evans, Homer McDougal, H.C. Smith, & Rex Evans.
