MERIDIAN - Mrs. H. G. (Lennie) Coffelt, 86, of Meridian passed away on
Saturday, Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Walnut Springs Baptist
Church with burial in Fulton Cemetery, Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
Sunday at Lawson Funeral Home.
Survivors include sons, Bob Coffelt of Clifton and Rex Coffelt of Hico.

Lennie Eula Golden Coffelt
Funeral services were held for Lennie Eula Golden Coffelt, 86, of Clifton, on Monday, Sept. 2, at First Baptist Church of Walnut Springs, with the Rev. Richard Creech officiating. Lennie Eula Golden was born in Iredell on Dec. 23, 1915, to Lucious Edward Golden and Mary Helen (Blue) Golden. She was the youngest of four children. She passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, in
Clifton. Her grandparents, Seaborn Golden and Anna (Hendricks) Golden, came to Iredell in the 1890s, he from Talapoosa County, Alabama. Her grandparents, Winfeld Scott Blue, born in Henderson County, in 1856, shortly after Texas became a state, and his wife, Samantha (Gibson) Blue, also came to Iredell in the 1890s. She attended several rural schools in Bosque
County, including Midway, Fairview, Valley View, and Willow Springs. On Oct. 28, 1932, she married Henry Gilbert (Peanuts) Coffelt, in Hamilton. They settled in the Iredell community and later in Walnut Springs, where they reared two sons. She was a member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Walnut Springs for many years. In August 1997, she was preceded in death by Gilbert, her beloved husband of 65 years.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Kenneth Coffelt and wife, Sue, and Henry Rex Coffelt and wife, Gwen; two grandchildren, Tammy Burch and husband, James Burch of Meridian, and Brad Coffelt and wife, Mellisa (Missy) of Walnut Springs; five grandchildren, Jessika and Brody Coffelt, and Krista Wyatt, and Emily Burch; along with a host of friends. Pallbearers were Brad Coffelt, James Burch, Leon Golden, Leonard Gilbreath, John Hernandez, and Bennett Morrow. Interment was in Fulton Cemetery, between Walnut Springs and
Iredell, under the direction of Lawson Funeral Home of Meridian.
