Lola Terrell


Lola Terrell, 75, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday evening, 1 March 1983 in Meridian Hospital after an extended illness.  Services were held Friday afternoon. 4 March, at the Central Church of Christ in Tulia, with burial following in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia.  Arrangements were by Brister-Lawson Funeral Home.  Born 6 June 1907 in Tulia to the late Otto & Pearl (Johnson) Jennings.  She was rasied  & educated in the Tulia area.  She married Homer A. Terrell on 20 Aug. 1925 in Tulia.  Lola was a residnet of Dimmett for 9 years, beofre moving back to Tulia.  She moved to Meridian in 1966 to their ranch east of town.  She was a member of the Meridian Church of Christ.  She was preceded in death by her husband 4 Dec. 1974.  Survivors:  3 daughters:  Mrs. Evelyn Coots od Plainview, Mrs. Gwen Fowler of Meridian, & Mrs. Lanell Finney of Tulia; 1 sister, Mrs. Mary Nell Embree of Yuma, AZ; 1 brother, Dr. Charles Jennings of lubbock; 10 grandchildren; & 13 great grandchildren.
