Charlie J. Urban, 82, of Azle, formerly of
Weinert, Texas, died October 7, 2001. Funeral services will be October 10, 2001
at White Funeral Home in Azle at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Willow Cemetery
in Haskell, with graveside services at 3:00 p.m. Services will be officiated by
Rev. Joe Stulir, a nephew of the deceased. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday October 9, at the funeral home. Family will be at the Charlie J. Urban
home outside of Azle. Charlie was the youngest child of Peter K. and Klara
Svach Urban. He was born on White Ranch in Bosque County, November 4, 1918.
After his mother died in 1934, he moved with his father, and brother Frank to
Haskell county where they farmed. Charlie married Lillie Stulir in 1939 and they
farmed in the Weinert area until 1960, when they moved to Azle.
Charlie was a master carpenter and woodworker.
He loved hunting, fishing, boating and all outdoor activities. He was preceded
in death by his parents, his wife Lillie, who died in 1986, brothers Joe, Pete,
John and Frank Urban, and sisters Clara, Christina, Agnes and Mary. He is
survived by his son, Charles B. Urban and Pam, of Weatherford; grandson Michael
Urban of Ft. Worth; one sister, Anna Urban Sommerfeld of Clifton, many nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends, including special friend Helen Spurrier of
Springtown.
