Bosque County Courthouse in 1886
In 1886, constructed was completed on the third Bosque County Courthouse. It was built with local limestone. The Courthouse was designed by J. J. Kane, a Fort Worth architect and is a National Register Property. In the mid-1930s, the WPA altered the building by shaving the peaked corner towers and obliterated the original clock tower. The decorative elements of this much altered Romanesque Revival structure were also removed or changed.
It is located in Meridian off Texas 6, at the intersection of Texas 22 and Main Streets.
