Looking for information on the following two Offutt's, supposed to be
buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in
Bosque County Offutt, James A. 14 Jul 1912 - 21 May 1949 Offutt, John A. 06
Nov 1894 - 20 Oct 1962
At first glance appear to be John Amos Offutt and James Albert Offutt.
However the dates conflict with
information that I have from other sources. Would like to clear up the
conflict.

Query: Also seeking family information for a William John Payne (W.J.)
but he was born in 1830 in GA and married a Nancy J 6-1-6-1860. He
served in the Confederate Army and had atleast 6 children, one of them
Peyton Lee Payne in 1875. Peyton married Nannie Jane Kincheloe
(b:1-5-1879 d:6-15-1969 but don't know locations)in Bosque county on
1-1-1904. They had John 1904, Mary Etta 1907, Julia 1909 & Richard K
1-1-1912. I would like to find out more about Peyton and Nannie J
Kincheloe. I don't know where they were born, when/where he died, where
she died, buried etc. Also I can't find any information on her parents
(KINCHELOE). Any help would be appreciated. Also I found Mary Turner
Kinard's site , how would I get a copy of Peyton & Nannie's marriage

Query: Am seeking info on the family of Jorgen Juilan Burreson and
Juliana Pederson. Jorgen was born 21 Jan 1853 in Norway. He married
Juliana 8 Dec 1881 in MCLennan Co., TX. Jorgen died 21 May 1903 and is
supposed to be buried in the Spring Creek Cemetery In Bosque Co., TX.
Juliana died 23 Nov 1937 in Clifton. They had 7 children. Our ancestor
Bettie was born to them on 4 Oct 1887 in Norse, Bosque Co., TX. The
parents of Jorgen were Borre Larsen and Anne Jorgensdatter both
immigrated from Norway to Bosque Co. in 1884. Both died in Bosque Co.,
TX in the early 1920s. The parents of Juliana were Lars Pederson and
Bergitte Halverson of Norway. Both came to Kaufman Co., TX
Any info on these ancestors would be most appreciated.

I am researching my grandparents George H Pendleton and Rebecca Simmons
Pendleton. George
and Rebecca were living in Bosque County 1900 near Rebecca's family. The
census for 1900 show
them to be living in prct 5.In 1903 Rebecca died during childbirth. They
were living near William
Simmons family and John Simmons. When Rebecca died, the child Lillie
Virginia was raised by Tom
Simmons and his wife Narcisis . They are shown in the 1880 census for Bosque.
Tom was Rebecca's
brother. Any information about the Pendleton and Simmon families would be
most appreciated.

Think Radford Welch was a constable, deputy or law man in the late 1800
early 1900. His wife was Martha Deadman Welch. Their daughter Martha
married Zeno Pinner. Francis Pinner married Zeb. C McNeil. Melissa
Pinner married Randolph D. Norton. This family lived in Bosque County,
Texas.
My query regards my great grandparents, James Alexander Pittman and Nettie
Earl
Thruston. I'm trying to find information on their marriage and their
families in the
Bosque County area in 1880-1890.
He was born in 1856 in Clarksville, Red River County TX to Evan Alexander
Pittman
and Tobitha Pamelia Ezell. She was born in 1874 in Hutchins, Dallas County
TX to
Marshall Beverly Thruston and Rachel Marilla Campbell. They married
12/26/1888 in Bosque
County. I went through all the census images you have provided trying to
find them or their
families in Bosque County around that time...to no avail. (She was only 14
when they
married so I thought at least her family would be in the area in 1880 or
1890.)
I find them in 1900 in Wichita County TX and again in 1910 in Bloomington
Township,
Greer County OK, where my grandfather, Forrest, was born in 1904. In about
1916 they
migrated to NM to homestead near Tatum, where they lived out the rest of
their lives.
I apologize for the length of this email, but I wanted to give at least a
little background.
I would very much appreciate any help you could give me or any direction you
could
suggest for my quest.

Does anyone have information on the Green Powell Family? He was one of the
first settlers in
Bosque County. He settled at "Blue Hole" on Mesquite Creek, and the
community became
known as Powelldale. He was a successful farmer and a large land holder.
Green died in 1862
and his wife, Patsey, died in 1881. Unfortunately their graves have not been
found. The Corps
of Engineers moved all graves from Powelldale Cemetery and no one knows where
they are
located. Many they moved were unmarked and unknown. Would like to hear from
anyone who knows anything about this family, as they are my ancestors.

My grandfather, John Bunyon Richardson, owned
property in the Eulogy area in 1886 with his
brother-in-law A. G. Willmon. They operated a grocery
or some type of supply store and freighted
goods in from Cleburne - a distance of 20 miles by
wagon road. They gave up the enterprise because
of the time involved and the distance to freight in the
their goods. Would like any information about
where their store or property might have been located.
John Powell Robinson was born June 01, 1855 in
Texas, and died February 22, 1938 in Lone Cedar, Ellis
County, Texas. He married Alice Medora Killebrew on
1885, daughter of Edd Killibrew and Sarah Ellen
Fatherree. John was my great great grandfather. One of
my great uncles tole me that John Powell Robinson
was born in Bosque County and that his dad had owned a
cattle ranch. I do not have any information on John
Powell Robinson's father, mother or siblings. Any help
