Section 19, Grave 9703.  Rank - citizen;   Company - Jackson County, Ms;   Military - civilian

Provided by Linda Cobb-Bigham, Amarillo, Tx; yr 1999:  "His grave was recently found by Jack Hightower (wife is also a descendant of Prosper through Mary Elizabeth). 

This cemetery began in 1826 and was declared a National Cemetery by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863.  

There are 3255 Unknowns interred at this site with burials totaling 139,570 as of May 24, 2001.
