The following article was found in the April 11, 1902 issue of the Caldwell newspaper:
“There was organized in the 19th of February, 1889, a branch of the
reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, by E. W. Nunnley,
with the following members, viz:

This church is a different church from the church called Latter Day
Saints, of Utah (or Mormons); we have no connections with said church in
any way.
