Will CLARK who was injured in the railroad, is progressing. He had to have his arm amputated.

At Lyons, last Friday night, Dr. HERVEY’s fine horse died. The cause of death is unknown unless it was bots. It is a considerable loss to the doctor as he was all the horse he had and he was a very fine one, too.

Chris SCHROEDER of Birch had the misfortune to have his residence burn down. Everyone was in the field at work, so it was a total loss.

J. J. MULKEY & Mrs. Minnie WRIGHT were married Thursday night. Sunday morning they took diverging paths and will live no more together. The cause of this unhappy result is unknown.

Mr. Will BLOCKER, our blacksmith lost a pocketbook with 65 or 70 dollars and some receipts. [Lyons]

Dallas, Texas, February 6: Capt. J. C. ARNOLD, chief of police died last night. REV. GEORGE W. TRUETT, pastor of First Baptist Church, Dallas, had accidentally shot him while hunting Friday night. He was born near Wellington, Morgan County, Georgia on April 9, 1851.

Will CLARK who was recently injured on railroad is getting along well.

  Cotulla, TX, Feb. 14, Mr. FAGON [Brazos] writer for the Sunday paper and correspondent of The Post, who has been lying low at the Piers House in this city, is improving.
