One of W. C. BAIN’s mules ran into a well a few days ago and was killed. His son, Clarence while endeavoring to release the unfortunate animal by going down into the well was overcome – we do not know with what, perhaps grief and had to be rescued and drawn out before doing any good.

they came in attacking him with six-shooters.
