Ray was born in 1900 and Thomas died in 1905, so 1903 or 1904 is pretty accurate for a date.

James Family homestead  from about 1904.  It was located on South Thomas Street across from 1st Baptist Church in Caldwell, and I believe that the Billy Broaddus family still owns that lot (with another house built on it).  Alma Farmer James’ youngest daughter was Ray James Broaddus, Billy’s Mother.
