Benjamin Porter
Benjamin Porter born 1795 in Prince Edward Co. Va to John
Porter Jr. and Sarah Clark. He married Sarah Proctor, then Matilda J.
Wilson in Butler Co. KY.
He and his wife Matilda, their son in laws, Richard Tyrus Blacklock and
Merrifield Phegley came to TX in 1847. Benjamin died of bilious fever in
1849. Numerous descendants are world wide from these families. His
brothers John W., Beverly and Elijah had come to TX, Burleson Co. in 1833.
