** These are not all Negro graves, some of the earlier graves [Rowland] are white
settlers, but it is now referred to as a  "colored" cemetery. There are probably
at least a  hundred or  more gravesites, without markers and/ or markers without
names. Also there were many gravesites which were totally inaccessible, due to
brush and overgrowth. The cemetery is not well cared for, with the exception of
a few family plots.
