Related
families that settled with the Montague household, included --
NEWCOMB
(relatives of Betty Newcomb Rouse Montague) and JAMES M. ROUSE Jr. (son of Betty
Montague).
Descendants
of the Montagues, Newcombs, and Rouses remained in Burleson Co. for decades. I
believe Betty Newcomb Montage is buried somewhere in Caldwell.
James Madison
Rouse Jr. resided in Tanglewood (Lee Co.) and is buried at Pleasant Hill
Cemetery in Milam County.
I and my
fellow researchers have been confused about whether Tanglewood was originally in
Burleson County or not. We are aware that -- at some point -- Lee Co. was formed
using parts of other counties, including Burleson.
