25 September 2003 The Capital Times & Wisconsin State Journal, page B4 Adams, Alice E. MADISON - Alice E. Adams, age 89, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec. 23, 1913, in Madison, Wis., daughter of Bert and Emmaline Orvis. Alice was a fun loving caring person, who enjoyed her grandchildren and spending time at Eldercare. She is survived by "Kitty Abby;" children, Jack (Jeanne) Cooper, Texas, Bob (Rose) Cooper, Albany, Don Adams, LaFarge, Beverly (Jim) Mosel, Madison, Cathi (Bob) Fisher, Oregon, Mary (Ron) Melvin, Madison, and Marion Roberts, Nevada; 77 grandchildren; 114 great-grandchildren; and 13 great- great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous sons and daughters-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Curtis "Pep" Adams, who died in 1979, and Fred Cooper; her children, Janet, Melvin, and Jerry Cooper, Margaret Normington, Bobby "Pep" Adams, Betty Hurst, Grover Adams, Kenny Adams, Dorothy Friede and Waunita Peck; five brothers; numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, with the Rev. Gerry Kuhnke officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials can be given to Eldercare.
