19 October 1988 Colorado Springs Gazette Telegraph B6 MABEL M. ANDERSON, 94, of Colorado Springs died Sunday in a local hospital. She was a homemaker. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Shrine of Rest Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., with the Rev. Harold Shoemaker officiating. Inurnment will be at Lake Creek Cemetery, Lake Creek, Texas. Mrs. Anderson was born Feb. 14, 1894, in Charleston, Texas, to Sydney and Addie (Nelms) Stell. She had lived in Colorado Springs 33 years. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the First United Methodist Church and church circle groups, Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Eastern Star in Albany, Texas and Ladies Guild of Green Mountain Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband, David O. Anderson, in 1976. Mrs. Anderson is survived by two sons, Duane S. of Honolulu and Edwin R. of La Puente, Calif.; a brother, A. Wade Stell of Santo, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Harold and David; three brothers; and a sister.
