Walter Edward Brooks
Services for Walter Edward Brooks, 96, of Jayton will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church in Jayton with his son, Elvin Jake Brooks, officiating.
Burial will be in Girad Cemetery under the direction of
Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
He died Saturday, June 30, 2001
He was born Aug 24, 1904, in Georgetown. He married Mary Ada Eloise
Ratliff on March 10, 1932, in Long Worth. She preceded him in death Fet 9,
1986. He lived most of his life in Kent County. He was a custodian
and bus driver for Girad Public Schools for many years and was an Assembly of
God evangelist since he was 17.
Survivors include three sons, Edward of Amarillo, Eldon Glen of Waxahachie and Elvin Jake of Jayton, 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and four great-great- grandchildren.
