James V Bowman

James V. Bowman, 67, a lifetime resident of Shackelford
County, died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 1978 in Shackelford county
Hospital after a lenghtly illness. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in
the Albany Church of Christ.
Dale Scott, church minister, and D. L. Ashley, retired Church of Christ
minister, officiated. Burial was in Moran Cemetery, directed by Godfrey Funeral
Home.
Born March 7, 1911, in Moran, he moved to Albany from Moran 45 years ago. He
married Francis Vestal on March 20, 1946. He was a retired oil filed worker and
a nithe-watchman for the city of Albany.
Survivors include his wife: tow sons, Dinty S. and Kerry V., both of Albany; a
daughter, Mrs. Roger C. (Jean) Bills of Albany.
