James C. Brooks

J. C. Brooks, 94, former Baptist minister, and once a newspaper publisher, passed away Tuesday morning n the Callahan
Hospital in Baird. Mr. Brooks was a resident of Bluebonnet Lodge several years.
His wife, who passed away about a year ago, was also a resident of the rest home here.
James was born in Opelika, Ala. He came to Moran some 60 years ago. He built the Brooks Hotel in Moran back in the oil
boom days and resided there until entering Bluebonnet Lodge.
